PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CRUCIAL FOR THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT

McCain/Palin John McCain has a long and consistent pro-life voting record on the abortion issue. He believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision and has pledged to nominate strict constructionist judges who understand that the courts should apply the law as written, not legislate from the bench. Sarah Palin, his running mate, is a bright light when it comes to living her pro-life beliefs.

It is highly likely that the next president will be nominating more than one Supreme Court Justice. ANY picks by McCain's opponent, Barach Obama, will be devastating to any hope for a reversal of Roe v. Wade and will continue the slaughter of our pre-born brothers and sisters for years to come.

Obama is the most extreme pro-abortion candidate ever to run for President of the U.S. He has stated that his highest priority would be to enact the "Freedom of Choice Act," which would legalize abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy and overturn every state's parental consent laws. He has opposed the ban on Partial Birth Abortion in which a baby is killed during delivery. He voted three times AGAINST a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would provide protection and care for babies who survive abortions. Obama is not just pro-abortion; he is pro-infanticide.

Pro-life voters have a clear choice in several Chester County races this November that involve unseating pro-abortion incumbents. Craig Williams is taking on Joe Sestak who defeated Curt Weldon just two years ago. Steve Kantrowitz will be facing Andy Dinniman for a seat in the PA State Senate, and Shannon Royer will have his second try at defeating Barbara McIlvaine Smith to represent the 156th PA House District. McIlvaine Smith won in 2006 by a mere 28 votes.

Two other races for open seats in the PA House feature two new Republican candidates of interest to pro-life voters. John Lawrence in the 13th PA House District and Guy Ciarrocchi in the 157th PA House District.

2:00 - 4:00 pm
Program at Chester County Courthouse
High & Market St, West Chester

Followed by get-together at the
Knights of Columbus Hall
110 W. Market St.

This national campaign of prayer, fasting and public witness continues through Sunday, November 2nd. Hundreds of Chester County pro-lifers have been fervently praying for an end to abortion.

The 24/7 peaceful prayer vigil has been a source of great blessing for those who have participated. An amazing 26 of the 40 days have been "adopted" by churches or groups to cover the hours in front of Planned Parenthood in prayer. While many more are just showing up on their own schedules to pray at the vigil site.

Across the United States in 179 cities in 47 states thousands are joining together in this largest simultaneous pro-life effort in history. In the first two weeks, 113 babies and their mothers were saved from abortion.

To join in our Chester County Campaign visit our local website www.40daysforlife.com/chestercounty or call Len Iacono at 610-329-2850.
